Avg not updating virus database
Created with the newest and most enhanced features, one unique feature about AVG is the easy downloadable version available online.
AVG is created keeping the latest search engine algorithms in mind.
This system abides with search results of foremost search giants like Google, Yahoo, MSN and more.
The installer is suggestively called AVG Anti-Virus Definitions, which deploys the updated package of virus definitions that can be loaded into the AVG Antivirus when an Internet connection is not available or the built-in definition update function fails to work.
Delete any malware that is discovered during the scan. Wait for at least one minute and restart your computer. Choose the AVG program and click "Uninstall." Once the uninstall is complete, restart your computer. Check the box labeled "Start Automatic Updates." Set the update to run every day at a time that is best for you.
This may clear any "bugs" that are keeping the AVG software from updating. Reinstall AVG through the company's website using the link in Resources. If the software asks you to restart the computer, do this now.
It is highly advisable to update the signatures from within the antivirus, if possible.
This option is available in the tray context menu of AVG and ensures that the security software compares scan results to an up-to-date signature database, so as to detect both known and recent threats.
